What are these plant/Anemone looking things

Iv used joe's juice to good effect, haven't seen any since.

Sadly, I have lots of experience with Aiptasia, mostly bad. I tried various products (Aiptasia-X, lemon juice, etc) and managed to make them spread widely and rapidly. Peppermint shrimp worked for a while but didn't last long. New ones I bought did not eat the aiptasia. I have found 2 solutions that worked well for me. The first was a matted filefish. It wiped out all of the aiptasia in my 24g nanocube within a few weeks. I then moved it to my 75g tank which had quite an infestation and it wiped that out as well. Meanwhile, a few aiptasia returned in the nanocube so I bought a Klein's butterfly. That one also did a very good job and I haven't seen aiptasia in the nanocube for quite a while. Neither fish bothered corals when they were well fed, but only feeding them pellets led to some nipping of LPS. The filefish is now in my 150g and behaving.

Good luck!

I would try peppermint shrimp first. It took about a month or so but they took care of my the aptasia in my tank.

Is this also an Aiptasia? It's about 2 inches long when fully extended.

Looks like it
Oh, no. I have had it for probably a year now, but haven't touched it. It's the only one I've seen in the tank. I will read up on removing it based on the responses I've seen to this thread. Just joined this forum today and already learning!

Can you easily take the rock out? If so, then you can have the pleasure of incinerating the anemone with a torch. That works very well. I use a torch cigar lighter but a propane torch would work too if that is what you have.

LOL. I ended up removing the rock and have it in a lidded bucket of freshwater.
