What are these things growing in my sump???

Hey Reefers,

Just wondering what these things are growing in my sump? There’s quite a number of them. Started appearing after I did a clean up in the sump.

Those are sponges. There are multiple types in multiple colors. They basically act as various forms of filtration. IMO, they are good for the system an i would leave them. If you are concerned about aesthetics and they are on multiple panels, you can clean the viewing pain.
