What are these things that are on my torches?

When I first got these back at RAPNY, I made sure to dip these corals and examined them. What are these little flowery looking things on the left and middle? Also what are the red bumps on the stem? Thanks!

Whoops, yep now that I have my glasses on I can see that. Not sponges but still nothing to be concerned about lol.
 
Always wondered what these little fellas where. I have noticed them qiute often on coral skeletons. Now that I know what they are here is a link to an excellent article by Ronald M. Shimek. Species Homotrema rubrum
