I noticed all these little tentacles sticking out of a piece of live rock I bought, then saw this other black and white worm thing with the same tentacles but he got away before I could capture it. Anyone know what these are? Currently QT them but plan to QT until they are gone forever, just need to find out what they are before I can do anything

That might be what they are, but I’ve heard of them being bad in reef tanks, so they are beneficial completely or can they cause any sort of harm?Google for medusa worm! If it is a medusa/spaghetti worm, just leave it in the tank. They are good detritus eaters and will control their population accordingly!

The only harm I can think of is the medusa worms releasing toxins when they get cut by powerheads and stuff. You could run some carbon for this.
I’m not taking any out of my tank tho
