I had a doctor with white dot parasite in QT, sadly she died due to constipation, swallowed a stone from the flooring apparently... should have named her el-vis haha but thats becides the point.

theres 2 fish in there remaining rn which im note sure if they have the same or not?? They are still copper treatment but thats not effective for this if its not the fitting medicine as it doesnt seem to be itch for me

Anyone knows what it is and what i need to do to treat it?

Talking about the white part on the end of the tail of the occelaris. the butterfly has it on his top right fin and I suspect in his back fin(idk the name, mb)

Video attached of both of em to see it more clear (i just feed them live artemia hence the particles in the water)

thanks in advance!

Appears to be Lymphocystis which especially with butterflies and large angels is somewhat common. I cannot confirm as images are slightly blurry. Lympho is a condition and not disease. Often its associated with water quality issue as simple as elevated ammonia or nitrate and can be that of water from LFS and not yours. Assure to provide Good water quality monitored by a reliable test kit and feed nutritious food with fats such as LRS nano frenzy and mysis shrimp.

I agree, looks like the viral disease Lymphocystis. It won't kill the fish, but it may get a bit worse before it gets better. It takes for 4 to 6 weeks for it to resolve in some cases.

The copperband is a bit thin, be sure you are feeding it multiple times a day to try and fatten it up. Brine shrimp isn't the most nutritious food, so try to also feed it chopped mysids or any other meaty seafood that you can get it to eat.

Ohh phew! So im safe to add the butterfly back to the main tank?? The water quality there is perfect and theres much live copepods and in the tank for him to eat. And eat with the other fishes dinner again. I feed frozen and live artemia and others kinds of meaty foods there, krill he lovesss

Since hes in qt I only feed him 2 times instead of 3 times a day and not too much as the treatment said to only refresh in emergency and dont want the water to become toxic too fast due to left over food

I recently got him from the store and had to qt him due to the issue so havent had him for longer than 3 weeks rn, he was pretty thin when i got him aswell. Good thing his belly is visibly full rn

And the clownfish?? Is he safe to add back aswell??

So to be sure i can add them both back to the main without any problems of it spreading to others and killing them?

I can't say for sure - the Lymphocystis won't be an issue for the other fish, most fish in aquariums have already been exposed to this virus and won't catch it again. What I can't tell you is if these two fish have some OTHER disease that could pose a problem in your main tank.

I couldn't tell, you mentioned adding them "back" to the main tank. That implies they were already there and you moved them out? If so, then any disease they might have has been in your main tank already, so no reason not to move them back.

They were in there for maybe 4/5 days before I transferred them into the QT, ive added them both back just a sec ago and they seem already so much happier.

Thank you so much for your advice! Really appreciate it, I would have kept worrying if it weren't for you!
