Mesenterial filaments. It’s basically the guts or digestive tract of a coral, the can expel them when stressed or to attack other corals. Are there any corals nearby or has anything changed or bothered the coral?

Thanks! While there is nothing nearby, I have a cyphastrea showing the same white plugs, and a Monti shedding white fluff. I have never seen them do this before. They are far away from each other, but is a remote warfare possible?
