What are these white specks on my BTA?

What are these white spots? I’m assuming it’s sand but I might be wrong.

I might be wrong, but not only do nem's host clowns but photosynthetic algae which converts the sun's energy (light's) into chemical energy which feeds the nem. It's completely normal to see it on nems so you have nothing to worry about.
