+1. My guess is bristleworms as well. Underwater pictures will help with an ID since many of these invertebrates loose their form out of the water. Can you get a shot of the mouth in any of them?
They look like bristleworms, which are harmless, but there is a possibility of eunices that I want to rule out.
Ever heard of a pistol eating a eunice worm have you? Wish I could find a natural predator for those nightmares.100% bristle worms, only harm they can do is to you if you touch em, I have a ton in my tank, only see em at night or if my pistol wants a snack.
Ive heard of arrow crabs eating the non bobbit ones. I think eunice mostly stay in structure versus out and about like bristles, which makes them easy prey for a pistol.Ever heard of a pistol eating a eunice worm have you? Wish I could find a natural predator for those nightmares.
I would QT those rocks and bottle trap all of those worms. Get some spaghetti worms for CUC!
That's true, which is why I think OP's got bristles and not eunice or dorvillidae. Those, especially the eunice worms retract back into their holes lightning fast at the first sign of movement.Ive heard of arrow crabs eating the non bobbit ones. Arrows are opportunistic, they will try and eat small fish. They are generally 70/30 as reef safe as they prefer to eat live worms/ critters. That's true, which is why I think OP's got bristles and not eunice or dorvillidae. I've thought about an arrow crab but worried it might bother other inhabitants.
