what are these? are they bad or good? we just bought live rock from someone and they came out of one of them...

should we be worried?

They can get very out of control!!! Pick out the big ones and don't worry to much about the small ones. Be careful cause they can ***** you with their bristles

Get them out and dont grab them with your hands or you will feel it for hours.. they hurt and can takeover quickly... good luck

Free CUC. As long as you don't overfeed, they won't get out of control. As others have said, don't grab them with your fingers. They are like porcupines. Their little "quills" will stick in your skin. It makes for an itchy sensation.

Bristle worms are great! They can clean in the places no other clean up crew can. If you really don't like him, throw him in the sump with some LR and he can do his job down there.

^^Totally agree! Wonderful part of your CUC. They get a bad rap because they creep most people out-lol. Personally I was more afraid of my finger biting clown fish then I am of BW :)

If there isn't enough food in there they will steal it right from your corals, may even attack your poor inverts!!

Personally I hate them. Didn't pay to much attention to them at first till they got way out of hand! I used to see them around even during the day. This was a little 20g tank I had bought already established and full of bristle worms. I couldn't put anything in my DT cause of them. So I killed the tank on purpose. I shut off all the power and made it go stagnant!!! Wow I swear I don't regret it at all. There was at least, and I'm not joking probably close to a 1000 if not more just looking to escape.
I had to bleach the whole tank to reuse the LR.
DONT LET THEM GET OUT OF CONTROL, you will be kicking your self later on
