What are these

Ok I've had this rock in my tank since Aprilish. I noticed the little red rubes on it but looking at the tank the other nite I noticed this little white hairy thing any ideas on either item?

They are pineapple sponges.. harmless filter feeders.

I didn't see any webbing that usually comes with vermitid snails, also thought they were larger diameter?

It's usually just one thin strand. It's hard to see until it catches on something. I usually just snap them off when I'm in the tank. They can annoy corals, like @MasterBacon said.

Yup. One of the tell-tale signs for vermetid snails are the corkscrew twist of their shell where they are attached to the rock

Yes to Vermetids, and they typically have that pink to reddish shell.

How big will the tube worms get? I've got a couple of rocks covered in them
