So i am going out of town and the food my lfs gave me makes the good snail water super nasty and i wont be able to do a water change for a few days. But i have a 4"x5" piece if pvc in my display covered in a brownish algae. Is the brownish algae something snails can survive on? I dont want them to die. But if I cant find something to feed them my lfs will take them back and replace them after the pyramids are gone

Np. That's what we're here for you can get some algae Wafers from Walmart or most lfs.

Never be afraid to ask. It's what we do here.

If what you have is making the water nasty use very little and it'll settle in he bottom. So now it's probably available and in the tank already.

Even my lfs is learning but they have things that eat the PS so they never had an issue. So regular fresh water algae eater tablets will do

Thanks for all the help but all the good snails died while i was out of town for 5 days due to the early birth of my new niece. I definitely wont be getting any more snails for atleast a month maybe 2 to be sure all pyramid snails are gone.
