What are these?

I noticed a few weeks ago some translucent white clumps in both my GFO and GAC reactors. I had been fighting dinos for months and assumed it was dino slime. I did some tank maintenance today and was surprised to see the explosion in numbers of these weird things. I have not seen any signs of them outside of the reactors. Any clue what they are?

Those look like sponges to me..
Harmless and perfectly normal filter feeders.

Thanks. Pineapple sponges it is. Guess they reproduce quickly. Wonder what they liked about the reactors?
