Purchased these red hornets (FINALLY) from my LFS, thought there was some sand on the frag, but low and behold I spotted a red zoa with a white perimeter... anyone know what these are?

Yea I don't think those are zoas either. I would remove them, or at least do some poking around to see if they close up like a zoa or more like an aptasia.

Agreed, definitely not a zoa.

But I wouldn't be so hasty to zap the mysterious anemone.

It is clearly irritating the zoas, so I would bust up the frag and put the hornets on their own frag and the weirdo anemone into an observation tank. It looks like a neat score! For all we know, you have two baby rock flowers right there... I have not seen a nuisance anemone like this before! (But, lol, that doesn't mean much)

I don’t know what it it, but I’d definitely separate while you try to figure out the identity. It’s cool really neat looking regardless. Good luck!

Cool! Looks like baby rock nems.

Yeah I think I am going separate and observe instead of just destroying them. I am hoping they turn out to be pretty sweet...

Thanks all for your input!

They have the exact same skirt as my rock nem and I see almost all others seem to have.. hmmm I'm beg to ng my money on rock nem.

Ok I'm actually done with my phone... how do you change betting to bet to ng!!
