What are we feeding lps nowadays?

Again, I didn't know why you keep saying that RRF is a copy, if RRF was first than Rods. RRF is a trade mark and the other not. You should look deeper and find who really came first.

I'm in this hobby for more than 20 years and I can assure you that RRF came first and the others are the copy, but it's up to you. I talked because I already made my assigment, do yours...

Rod produced a successful food and now there are other companies copying it. I am not saying Roggers food is not a good food, but it was a copy as well as others out or coming out some with minor differences, some good some bad.

Knock it off you two!

I regularly feed Fauna Marine LPS Pellets, Frozen Cyclopeze, Coral Frenzy (more for sps) and frozen Rods Food (Regular and Coral Diet). Lately, I have started to feed in stages. It seemed that I'd feed Fauna Marine LPS Pellets but the corals weren't completely responding or were responding very slowly (Acans and Chalices). I started squirting some frozen Cyclopeze on them first, which really triggers a feeding response quickly. Then I follow this with Fauna Marine LPS Pellets. It's a bit more time consuming but I'm liking the results. Since I only do this once or twice a week, the extra 5-10 minutes is no big deal.

So does the cycolpese stick to their feeder polyps well? I always heard that it really make corals go nuts. It's funny though, my duncans will eat anything but the other lps are being pretty picky so far.

In my experience, the LPS corals that I do feed do grab on to the Cyclopeze quite well. However, I do turn off all of my flow, during feedings and leave it off for 30 minutes or so, afterwards.

I think I'll get some next time I'm at the LFS. Usually when I hit the tank with some Marine Cuisine most of my lps comes out, but a few only come out at night. Your like the millionth person that Ive hear say how much their corals respond to cyclopeze too.

I just fed one of slower eating chalices cyclopeze tonight, but used a cut off plastic bottle with cap to cover it. It went crazy and ate it all in like 5 minutes.

I've been using fauna marin lps pellets. But I did experience a outbreak of cyano, so now I feed moderately.

picked up a hammer coral, and a couple frogspawns at a lfs and they told me Oyster Feast was a good food for them.

Yea I dose cyclopeeze lol. Everything eats it. Its like fish/coral crack. At night a lot ill just bomb the tank with a lot and let the corals just eat it naturally. Turn off return pumps so it just floats around. If I have a coral that needs some help force feeding blowing it at the mouth works well for sick corals.
