I have a 5 foot ATI T5 fixture. Long skinny metal one. It has... no moonlight. My fishies need a night life.

What are you guys doing for moonlights? I was thinking of one of those sticker LED strips but thought there might be something more sleek out there.

Thanks!

+1 to both comments above :)

I use the tv stay up late tuck the corals in around 1am and say good night like a proud father.....my wife worries about the kids lol hahaha seriously though dont have a moonlight for my tank and havent really thought one was needed but the tv does offer a nice glow when the lights go out....

I tend to look at my tank the longest under the moon lights vs the daylight blues lol. All my inverts are out and most of the fish are asleep its cool. I use red sea reef leds they have moon with cycle the corals look great under it.

Well, pretty sure fish don't get moonlight in the sea, it's pitch dark even with a full moon down a few meters, so mine suffer through whatever incidental light is in the room.

Experimented with the HYDRA 64, but moon way too bright even at 1%.

To add relevancy to the thread. Moonlight is believed to be a major trigger for coral spawning. Which aids in coral health.

I know I made light of it, however we might start to see a lot more discussion on this because serious hobbyists are starting to trigger corals spawning in their home tanks. In part, credit going to successfully mimicking lunar cycles.
