I've been running an algae scrubber and it works great. For a month I pulled my skimmer but I still have to run a skimmer now to keep PH up but I might get a cup of skim mate a week its just for oxygenation.

I find it odd that you didn't put skimmers and refugiums in the list. I would expect those two would easily outdo the three options you've chosen.

Nah I have a great skimmer. I did not list it because I thought everyone used them.

I did not put those as I am trying to see which is more popular from the list. I have a great skimmer though.

Time proven Berlin method... live rock, substrate, skimmer. I also use a bio pellet reactor and occasional carbon and GFO along with ozone on skimmer. Need to get it back up but usually run something of a lit refugium. Right now just a crypto zone.

Just lots of live rock and a skimmer here. Plus a bag of carbon sometimes for water clarity.
