Curious what large tank owners are doing about their back glass- scraping, ignoring, mounting corals directly? With 8 feet of glass to maintain, this seems like a meaningful question. I currently have most of my back between the overflows fully exposed and accessible and am scraping the soft algae that's growing on it. Snails and blenny are helping but can't keep up. Not sure if I'm looking at doing this forever, particularly when soft algae become calcareous. What do you all do?

The back of my tank is painted black, and I never worry about cleaning it.

Was going to paint the back of my 120. Now at 10 months its purple.

Mine is plywood, but i made a rock wall on the back. i dont like to clean them and now i can place coral on it. win win

On the peninsula it just makes the most sense for me to do nothing. It start growing coralline and matches the overflow box; seamless.
