there are a lot of smaller deltecs(i.e. no eheim pump) in the richmond area, but marvin does provide top notch service, i personally wouldnt' buy one. asm is fine by me. let him make his money off those who can afford to splurge on the deltec.

even the ora green stylo is hard to find; i've only seen it once offered locally, and that was in hopewell more than a year ago.

I got my Deltec used! :D

It's definitely acros for me. I still have a ton of palys and zoas but my favorite corals in my tank are my acros.

yeah, i'm having the same issues with keeping micros and acans....they never seem to be happy and don't grow for me either.

monti's are another thorn in my side....although there are a few i really like (sunset, appleberry, setosa, and undata). i just have trouble keeping them sometimes for reasons i've never been able to figure out.

from here on out, i'm keeping less than 5 zoa morphs of my favorites, about 4 types of chalices, 2 acans, 2 micros, and 1 favia. 1 colony of GSP, 1 ric colony, 1 plate coral, 1 frogspawn, and 1 leather. everything is colored sticks! ;) oh yeah, i have 1 clam

rev, you gota add clams to that list...

That is so funny, I keep micros and acans very well. I think they like a dirty tank.

It's a cycle for me. One month it zoas/palys then the next mushrooms, then chalices, then acans. It guess it's because I love learning about this hobby. When I started collecting zoas, I read just about every thread out there and once I was sucessful and they were thriving, I'd find something else to obsess over. ;)

Speaking of Richmond....Do you guys there have a website? I also heard rumors on my local reef forum that there is a frag swap that is going to happen soon? Maybe we should do a Richmond/Virginia Beach swap.:D

ants stuff at the moment, but Rev up too a frag of that roxy foxy= :)

1. Z's & P's
2. Acan lords (mainly Aussies & 2 Japanese morphs)
3. Micros
4. Montis
5. Echinos

a few other LPS and softies to complete the list.. :D

My favs.

1. Zoanthids & Palythoas, of course!!!!!
2. Acans (whatever i can get that is NOT just plain red and green/grey)
3. Ricordea (Florida & Yuma)
4. Euphyllia...my #1 showpiece coral is my Red Frogspawn....i luv him to bits!

SPS can take a hike....heheh sorry, you fuzzy stick lovers!

EDIT.....ok, ok... I do have some SPS, i must admit ;)

My most extensive collection is zoas/palys. But honestly my favorite are trachyphyllia geoffroi. I have a dozen Brain corals, including some aussie pieces that are a superb highlighter neon yellow. This also falls over to my favorite piece which is an unidentified Aussie piece that came in as an Australomussa. My mission was to encircle the base of all my live rock with them in my tank. I also really enjoy acros and rics.

Zoanthids & Palythoas followed by leathers and Mushrooms and lps but I seem to be an excellant Aptasia Farmer inspite of everything I do to kill them.
copperband butterfly, a dozen shrimp, joe's juice, but they keep coming back a true nightmare.

How can you chose just one? The 125 is an SPS tank. The 120 an LSP and softie/zoa tank. The 22 is an Acan tank. I figure a mantis tank, a dedicated zoa tank, a big FOWLR, octopus tank, and a few other miscellaneous tanks and I'll have most of them covered:D. I think I really do have a problem...

Why not add a cold water reef tank to the list? That way you can add one of these fish...
