What are you using for filtration on your tank?

I have a small refugium , protein skimmer, old fashion bio balls and I don’t run socks.

You gotta fix that salinity ASAP, that’s insanely high.

Whoa I missed that. Im surprised anything is still alive. Def have to get that under control.

any chaeto or something else?
Yes I run chaeto in the sump along with carbon. I also let algae grow as much as it wants in my sump (as long as its out the pumps) because I'd rather have it there than in the display.

Will do. Water change today with Ro water from the reef store, what’s the ideal level of salinity? I have anemones, snails, of course fish

I try to keep my salinity at 1.023 to 1.025. Fish are good with lower salinity but the salinity of your water changes affect the amount of calcium, alkalinity, magnesium, and trace elements added back to your system because you are adding more product to the water that contains theses elements. Make sure you top off daily with fresh water to account for evaporation and don’t make a major change all at once. This can shock and kill what’s in your tank. A cheap way to top off is a $4 Walmart container, super glue, and a cheap valve from the fish store that should run $2 to $3. Just use a knife and rotate it near the bottom of one side and superglue the valve in. Let it dry for a while but you can drip a gallon of water in over the course of a day or whatever matches your evaporation. You can even add Kalk to it and run it at night if you prefer.
