What Are Your Favorite Tabling Acros?

Just like the title says! What are your go to tabling acros? Pics are always welcome too!

BC Aquatic Man! Lost my piece a while ago and haven't replaced it yet, but it is one of the premier tables in the hobby in my opinion. Another favorite is the BC Mutha' Ship Table, which I also do not have anymore. That thing glows day and night! Also really any millepora...

Curious as to how some may know what acro you are buying when you are specifically looking for tabling acros. A lot of sites just list the small acro frags they sell as “acropora” along with whatever dumb “designer” name they decide to throw on it without listing the full species name.

Good sites to search for different types of acros to buy?

My BC Aquaticman is still pretty small but it's growing very tight. So far, it's checking all the boxes in the color department and growth structure for me. I started with a super tiny frag. Initially just encrusting but now is growing off the edge of the rock.

PC Superman is also a killer table. I would really like to get that piece back again one day.

My only colony sized tabling acro is my tricolor valida.

I love the colors on it, and it has grown incredibly fast. Super hardy, too.

As for my favorite, I'm a big fan of the princess peach acro (if you count that one). I have a tiny frag (probably .5" when I got it) that seems to be doing well. Very excited to grow that one out! It has been encrusting a good amount, so I expect it to go upwards in the near future!

I almost never see the species names. It would be a lot easier if they had hvthem, though! I usually have to just Google for a picture of the colony.

Species that table include valida, Hyacinthus, speciosa, and others I don't know

Thanks! I’ve researched which species table thinking it would help me when looking at online vendors. The issue is knowing what specific “designer acro” these vendors are selling when all they show is a small 3/4” - 1” frag along with the description of “acro” followed by “random dumb designer name” . So it can be hard to tell exactly based off of an image of a tiny frag. Unless finding online someone else with a fully grown out colony that’s posted pics of it online elsewhere of that specific one I can then cross reference it to for comparison, which is just more work on my end lol.

I wish vendors would be more descriptive when selling these things instead of just being so focused on actinic photos of 1” frags with the goofy designer names to sell them.

I 100% agree. If anything, just a note at the bottom that says "this is acropora X" would be nice. I think a lot of people just don't really care, and, likely, vendors don't even know (I actually ask vendors at reefapalooza and whatnot and they usually don't know...).

I suppose millepora and tenuis are exceptions here, but a lot of the other species' names are completely ignored.

Are you saying Big R Walt Disney is a silly name lol. I actually like some of those designer names. Example I'm pretty sure people know what a Fox Flame looks like. I hate when the designer names are duplicated however.

$500 efflo! Just got a frag of that as well as red planet which I’ve had in my tank for awhile now….slow slow grower so far. Haha

I did but I don't have a picture to share. It may be the ultimate table though, not sure why it's not more popular now? Good under blues and daylight and an awesome grower.

Sorry all work has been busy! Love all the acros, some really beautiful colonies and colors! Will definitely be using this thread in a few months when I start putting them in the new tank!

For me it’s Efflos for sure. I finally have some-recently got all 3 that Battlecorals has to offer, but nothing much to show yet.

I also have Castells Banana Table which is just starting to plate out.

One of my favorites that I have had in the past was the Deuce Coupe , a wild one I lost a few years ago.

Wouldn't it be nice if the photo posters responding to threads like this also noted the origin (seller) of the frags they're posting photos of? I only noted one such credit in this thread.
