Hey guys.
Anyone know what those little creatures are in my paly frag? Should I get rid of these?

I count two of them. One of the other side.

Aiptasia. Remove them immediately. They can take over tanks quickly and can sting corals and fish as they grow bigger. Remove them then cover where they were with epoxy or superglue, as even one exposed cell can grow a whole other anemone.

Hard to say from the photo, but I'm guessing Aiptasia anemone....a pest anemone.

Bad hitchhiker. This is a type of anemone that multiplies very quickly, and stings and kills anything that gets near it. Depended on how many you have, they're best removed by manually scraping them off the rock, and then using epoxy/superglue/kalk paste over where they were to prevent them coming back. A few predators that you can get for them include the peppermint shrimp, berghia nudibranch, and with a large enough tank, copperband butterflyfish.

Thanks guys. Im just going to tweeze them off and fillholes with superglue?

I would remove the palys, and toss the plug if you can. I presume the aptasia came with the palys on the plug, so if those are a recent addition it would be well worth your while to remove the offending plug, imo.

Thanks guys. Removed the plug. It was from a recent purchase. Removed 2 aptasia I could see. Scraped clean and glues in all the holes. Back in tank. If I see any sign of them coming back around the paly ill remove the entire thing permanently.

Thanks for all the help everyone.

If they start coming back may want to look into something like aiptasia X or similar. My peppermint shrimp also helped during a small outbreak I had but Ive heard sometimes they dont always have a taste for aiptasia. Hopefully you dont get them anymore though!
