So I am fixing to order my ATO setup for my DSA 105 gallon tank and I have a question. I want to run an avast k1 kalk stirrer on my ato. I was looking at getting the smart ato kit for my tank but was wondering if that pump is too many gph for the stirrer. I mostly see people running aqualifters for the most part. Any suggestions including any input on what ATO to buy?

Hey I successfully use aqua lifter for almost every ato set up and kalk reactor . Just make sure that it's pushing the water in on the feed side and the effluent is moved out on it's own. Otherwise you will get build up inside the pump

I ended up getting a autoaqua smart ato. The pump is a little strong but I figure I can always throw a tlf ball valve on it to slow it down if I have a problem. I think I may wait until I get my controller to run the kalk stirrer. I'm worried about increasing the ph too much. My api test kit crap is too vague. Anyone running a stirrer without realtime ph monitoring?

I use the the Avast Diaphragm pump for my Ato. It works great. 400ml a minute I believe. I don't run Kalk right now but I am considering it. I won't run it on the Ato thought. Planning to dose it like my 2 part. I don't like the idea of more Kalk going in on hot days and less in the cold. Anything that affects my alk, calc and ph I want to strictly control how much is added. I will probably use the k1 and a brs dosing pump. Probably the 50ml a minute one and dose every hour
