What best light for my refugium algea

Hello mate:
I have chaeto algea in my sump and one bulb power saving 26 w 6500 k
But the cheato never grow with this light , I have now three big branches for over than two and still same size,
My friend who Give me the cheato ,do harvesting every month and he used orphek pr 25 but its quite expensive for refugium .
Any suggestion plz

I have the same thing. Mine never grows either. Hopefully someone experienced will chime in.

I use a 26 watt 6500k and mine grows like crazy. I soft ball size clump each week from both of my tanks. I run my light 12 hours a day, opposite my tank lights. Try running yours 24/7 and see what happens

I had the same thing and it never grew. I changed it to a JBJ Nano Glo LED - MT-NG4 and my cheato is going nuts!

I use this light and my chaeto is going crazy!!

Doesn't chaeto need phosphates. I would think it would be a good thing if it didn't grow. I use the cheap HomeDepot reflector and 6500k bulb, but not much in my tank at the moment.

I had one of those Marineland led strips from an old Freshwater tank. I leave it on 24/7. Seems to do the job

I used a flood light from Lowes or HomeDepot and clip on shop light like this and I had to keep mine thinned out it grew so much.

+1 on that marineland led strip. Its only .06 watts but it provides great growth.

Hi reefers I've got led light for my sump and in two days I recognize the growth of chaeto ,
I've got from eBay and not costly comparing for orphek pr 7 or 25 , it coast 35 dollars and it doing very well and I recommend for any one has this issue with cheato growth
And that is the name : e27 54 w coral reefs and aquarium fish grow led bulb
