What do you guys use to dose with? I recently bought a 210g with a few corals nothing huge. The guy before me said he used oceans blend two part plus magnesium to dose. Is this a good one? I have all the tests and my ph and mag are low. Any info would be great

I really like the Bulk Reef Supply products. :)

I use the stuff Randy suggests in his two part recipe.

ALK Arm and Hammer Baking Soda....baked at 300 degrees for an hour
CALC Prestone Driveway Heat
MAG Mag Flakes and Epsom Salt

I like the Red Sea foundations (individual, not the ABC+). I find it really easy to use and keep consistent. Seems a little more expensive though.

I was looking at the abc+. How does that work being all in one. Seems like u couldn't control them individuals

I was using the Red Sea products, honestly they are a waste a money. Just get b-ionic two part and be done with it. It's way cheaper and less complicated. With Red Sea your looking at reef foundation, then coral colors, then reef energy. With b-ionic it's just two bottles.

I have used ocean blend for a year and a half now. I also use Mrs. Wage pickling lime for stability. I have good results with it

Diy two part stuff.

from grocery/drug stores:
baking soda for alk
epsom salts for mag (with mag chloride below).

from local redimix/concrete places:
calcium chloride

from local industrial chemical supplier:
magnesium chloride ($25 for 50 pound bag).
calcium chloride.

also from grocery store:
and a little mrs. wages pickling lime added to top off water.

If my calcium reactor is down or I need to dose I use BRS for everything including their two part magnesium
