What can I do with my G7X Mark ii?

All,
I have a cannon G7X mark ii. I'm not a camera guy really, but I use it for family videos and some pictures etc... What is my best bet to get this thing reef ready at a reasonable price. Pretend I don't know much am easily confused by camera jargon. A decent lens? what filters? I'm not trying to win any photography contests but I want to get the best bang for my buck with what I already have. Thanks!

The Canon G7X mark II is a powershot camera so you should not be able to switch lens on it. Usually its difficult to use the flash through the front window with the flash so close to the lens. Might work with flash if you hold the camera against the glas. Use the macro function if you are close to corals (or fish) - The flower on the wheel on the back. If the camera struggle with the white balance you should try the underwater scene (under SCN) or the manual white balance setting and set it really high to prevent everything to become to blue.
