We got our first scoly a week ago and since we place it we see that is not happy and losing color and as I googled seems that is decaying (find the picture attached). What we can do to stop this?
1. 250 gals aquarium
2. We have the aquarium since around October 2020.
3. Other corals and fish are doing great
4. Our parameters are salinity 1.025, ph 8,kh 8.4 calcium 430 phosphate almost zero..
5. we do a water change every week
6. We moved it to less light and our lights are radion g5 blue and 2 g3...
7. I read about someone asking about shrimps and crabs so we have different shrimps and 1 crab. I know that around there is the the pistol shrimp .

I have mine under about 250 par and it does well. Check it at night with the lights out and see if it is open with its feeding tentacles out. If they are feed it some bits of shrimp or fish food. I feed mine several times a week

Looks like a location issue to me. How can it inflate with rock edges above/near it.

Don't have just a scoly pic, but here if full tank. You can see mine just to left of my clam

First thing to do, is to elevate it off the sand a little on top of flat rock, etc as sand can easily get on it and irritate it. Additionally, your mag is VERY high.
Moderate light and water flow makes these guys happy. Look underneath the coral and assure there are no bugs or eggs.

Furnish the following:
Temp 77-79
salinity 1.025
ph 8.1-8.3
mag 1300
CA 440
alk 8-9
Nitrate < .04
Phos < .04
Ammonia < .03

HOW OLD IS YOUR TANK ??
WHAT TEST KITS ARE YOU USING ??
