What can I feed my scooter blenny

I have been feeding my scooter blenny pods and he seems to be doing well. I was wondering what else I could feed him?

You can try and train them to eat pellet or frozen but takes a little luck and time. A lot of time they will only eat pods and other microfauna

Do u know what normal behavior for them is

When i had one he/she would go from live rock to live rock picking at it always grazing.Do you have concerns about its behavior?

He likes to dig under the sand and he comes out for a while and swims around

Sounds pretty normal to be. Is your system new or mature?

New I've had it for about 2-3 months

hmmm your defiantly going to have a little challenge on your hands. Usually dragonets are reserved for a mature reed with a refugium for there high depends on copepods. Another choice would to supplement copepods either by buying the bottled ones or farming your own both expensive options. Or you can try and get him to eat small meaty foods. lol did your lfs inform you on any of this?

Not really when i bought him I got him from Petco and i didn't know what to feed him so I went back to a local store called aquatic designs to the man who sold me the tank and he sold me some frozen cupes and said that those cubes would be good enough for him to eat. I feed him 2 times a day once in the morning and once at night

yea petcos not really the best saltwater store. Have you witnessed him eating the frozen food?

No he swims with his mouth open sometimes. And he also sits with his mouth open when I put it in. Unless he's under the sand

keep a close eye on him to see if he eats it and just make sure he dosent get to skinny. could you give me a quick run down on your system?

I don't know I haven't had any extra money to buy test kits but my water gravity is at 1.024-1.023

thats a little low shoot for 1.025 but how are you checking and don't change anything to drastically.

Good morning and I had it at 1.025 and I thought that was too high. I have a scooter blenny a clown fish and se fish that's purple I just forget the name plus my cleanup crew
