It is impossible to see in this light? Would you be able to give some more history - and also - a picture under white light?

Either that - or describe whether you're talking about the fins - or the body

Welcome to the forum!
As stated, it’s hard to really tell what’s going on without more information and a picture taken with white lights.
The area by the anal fin looks pinched but that’s all I can make out.

Tried getting the fish in white light but been unable to. I am referring to the horizontal white line along the body. Have the fish for about 7 months. The white line is on both sides and looks to be swollen from within its body.

Im new to reef2reef and posted another post with the description and parameters but it would not come through somehow

I just replied to your other thread, I'll ask to have that one deleted, and we can all work on this one.....

Do you mean the sort of wavy, fuzzy thick white line? Is it on both sides of the fish?

Jay

hi Jay,
Thanks for helping me on that one.

Yes indeed the thick white line. It is on both sides, one moment more noticable then the other moment.
If you look at it from an angle it looks like a vein coming out of the skin like we humans have in our forearms for example. But a bit more prevalent.

That is right where the fish's lateral line would be. I wonder if there is some inflammation of that?

I really don't know, he is eating well and is also guarding his territory below the rocks so it doesn't look bothered that much. But it does look kind of weird. All other fish are fine and doing well. Are there any steps to take or just wait this one out and keep the parameters in check?

What foods are you feeding ?

Mysis and flakefood
very inadequate diet. TDO pellets good but offer foods such as small plankton, LRS fish frenzy, chopped krill and Formula one frozen food.
