What can't you live without?

So, the more I look into equipment, the more awed I am. So, for all you experienced reefers, what is a non standard piece of equipment like a skimmer, that you couldn't live without, just want to learn about some different things and maybe increase my wish list a little more, haha.

honestly ive ran bare essential tanks (rock heater circ pump light) up to sumped tanks with skimmers and reactors and I can say that certain equipment makes things easier but the more complicated you make it the more problems youre opening yourself up to.

but on tanks 29 or larger I always run sumps so I would say I cant live without a sump.
auto top offs are nice to have as well.

It is not made specifically for aquariums... but it is cheap and it works.

Turn power on or off. See if it is on or off. Create alerts on phone or schedule. Watch your tank from anywhere. A lot cheaper than a aquarium specific controller that does the same thing or less.

Well based on our original post of only non standard equipment, the magnifying glass is the only thing that fits that description lol. The rest of the equipment listed has pretty much become the norm. So going by that, I do not use any non standard equipment.....I am a follower, not a leader

I'll have to say carbon and my skimmer carbon keeps the water I mean 10 * clean or crystal clear and the skimmer of course pulls it out so those in conjunction, beautiful!

I love the idea of apex, I just don't have the money for it . Maybe next summer when I can finally get a job... I'll be 14 then is why.
