What caused my clownfish to die?

The clowns are the only fish. Main inverts include a coral banded shrimp, anemone, and serpent star. Only thing I've been dosing is Aqua Vitro Fuel and occasionally Kent calcium.

i dont know anything about aqua vitro fuel, but it does sound like a sketchy additive do some googling on that just to make sure thats good. cause clowns are well known fish tank disaster survivors so it may be something or it may have been just a random thing

I think Fuel is one of the more popular amino acid supplements, along with Red Sea Reef Energy... especially since I'm doing about half of the recommended dose, I don't think it would have played a role.

Here are a few pictures of the remaining clown... sorry for the low quality! Let me know if you guys see anything I'm missing.

tank looks good coral open near fully, so if it was a water issue theyd be doing something as theyre more sensitive to that stuff than a clownfish is. I guess it may be just his time

I had something similar happen and my smaller male clown would have perished if hadn't been there. I fed my pair clowns one evening and the female just made dart at male over food he panicked and darted to back of tank so fast he got in suction stream and plastered instantly on his side to suction grill on tank and was done I instantly opened the cabinet below tank and switched off the pump and as he fell away it had sucked hard enough on him to leave marks and a small bulge effect on his side would have perished for sure if I had not been standing at tank when it happened that was a month ago today lucky for him.

So moral of the story is crazy things happen may have just been a fluke your tank looks beautiful and parameters look fine [emoji106]
