what causes trachy flesh recession?

i think i’m killing my trachy. is it bc it’s on the sand bed?

Irritation from sand , why I like to elevate these off the bottom
- high alk
- high nitrates
- too much water flow
- lack of feeding
- low calcium
- high mag
- pests underneath coral
- high salinity
- temperature too warm

i saw some big pod looking bugs underneath it a few nights ago but didn’t think that they would hurt it, i’m moving it off the sand right now. thank you

i just moved it and there was a bug inside a hole underneath the coral right where the flesh dying. i spooked the buff off but too bad my wrasses are sleeping already they would’ve ate it as soon as they saw it

i dipped it and this big pod came off also a bunch of Spirorbid worms were under neath
