I have a 36Gallon Biocube. No Sump. I am sure most are familiar. I have ONE Juvenile Seahorse, that was on death's door which was found while digging sand castles. Needless to say we now have a very thriving tank setup solely for him. Gradually aquascaping, LiveRock. Live pink rock bottom. Orange sponge coral, plenty of seaweed for copepod and Sandy (our seahorse) to hide and hitch. I will attach pictures.

Current in habitants.

3 ceriths (local store ran out)
5 Trochus snails
5 Asteria snails
2 blue legged hermits

and of course Sandy. We are planning to add another seahorse, but all from our local stores ARE SO BIG sandy is so much smaller and I just do not think I want to do it. Possibly will add a Goby. He is also eating live food only. Different copepods and artemia. Stock it every two weeks. Our tank is thriving with algae and life.

Moral of the story,
WHAT CLEAN UP CREW MIX IS BEST. With the crushed carribsea pink live rock, whats the best cleaners, to clean the bottom? I feel like I need more, but of course do not want to over do it.

Well , you should be looking at cooler water temps and fish and inverts suitable for that.
So the only thing I see is maybe hermits and Mexican turbos.

Under 77 if you can keep it there.
Not quite a true temprate tank but a middle ground.
Ponies can be helped by lower temps to fight bacterial infection. Some folks will run a UV.
