Just curious on what everybody is running out there. List the controller and some of the cool stuff you are doing with it.

I run a ACIII. I don't have the funds to upgrade to the Apex. I would is I could. I also have no issues with my ACII so no real need to upgrade.

I run the Aquatroller Jr on my Elos MIDI. It's a relatively simple controller, but it works well for a small tank with straightforward standard equipment. It gets the job done

I'm running the Apex Lite and love it. I'm doing my kalk dosing on it, plus my kalk mixing every six hours. Then the typical stuff, lights for display and frag, heater, and it turns on a fan during the summer time when the tank gets hotter than 80....it seriously brings the temp down by a few degrees.

I just got a reefkeeper light. I am finally going to replace some timers.

Man, I remember doing that, was a great day. Finally getting rid of those stinkin' timers and going to something great like that.

I'm running a Reefkeeper Lite, level 1. I bought an extra RKL used, so now I have an extra 4 outlet powerstrip (PC4) and a spare control unit and temp probe. I've used it to control the lights, heater and fans for my former 110 gallon and now my 27 gallon cube. It works perfectly, is simple, cheap, and I can now program and review data with an old laptop that is hooked up to the tank. I can remote into the old laptop from anywhere using the Logmein service. I plan to buy a couple of peristaltic pumps so I can automate my two part dosing. My ato is just a simple diy float switch kit, from aquahub, I believe. I bought the ato in 2006, and have never had a problem with it. I do like how the Apex could control my Vortechs, but for the price, I'm extremely happy with my purchase. If you just want an inexpensive, reliable, simple yet scalable controller, the ReefKeeper is the way to go in my opinion. I have less than $200 in mine, and it does everything that I want.

I am currently runnin a rk1 but once my 120 is up and about I will be using the neptunes apex elite a bit pricey but well worth it imo:bigsmile:

Reef Keeper Elite because of it's expansion abilities. It covers 3 of my tanks and is my best investment.

Nice thread BT...Im in the market everyone...so lets hear it. Been looking at the RK's myself.

I've personally not run a ReefKeeper myself. I"ve run an AquaController Jr and then my current Apex. The Apex has been awesome, and basically comes with everything already, no need to buy different expansions to do different stuff. It will already send emails, do graphs, control and configure from browser, and more.

I think I am in the market for one myself, I just want to dump all the timers I have on the display tank. I am thinking a RKL is the way I'm going.
