Maybe something that encrusts a lot. Maybe the Rogue millipora. Any encrusting monti would look cool to. Even a tabling coral could possibly work like an eflo, solitarynesis. I guess it would depend on were in the tank you placed the rock.

None. It looks beautiful like that. You could just as easily cover an ugly piece of live rock around the same shape and size, and put that on your mantle, etc.

I dunno, looks like a great addition to a sump to collect a ton of beneficial bacteria. At least thats what I did with mine.

I agree. I'm sure that cost a lot more than regular LR too. If I was going to grow anything on it it would have to be something that didn't encrust over it like a birdsnest.

Now that I think about it more, something to shade it so coralline doesn't cover it would be a good idea.

Tabling acro on one edge and hope it tables over it so it doesn't smother it out. Its a sweet piece.

I would want to keep that nice bright red in the tank too so would try for something that would shade it and contrast the color ...... big neon green torch or frogspawn maybe?

Zoa's, quickly hide the fact you overpaid for a piece of dried out and possibly intentionally killed coral!

Please tell me you didn't buy that somewhere...like one of those places that pull and kill live coral to make skeletons for decoration.
There is no such place in the US, its totally illegal to even harvest rock or coral, the place is called "Shell World" and is located in Key Largo Florida. I already asked and is an import from Indonesia. If the locals have to kill corals to put food on their table, the corals belong to them, if its legal in their country its OK with me :) if its illegal then how do they get imported ? Anyway it woold look good as a lamp :)

I like it just the way it is. Looks like it isn't completely gone. I see a speck of life in it.
