Got this a few weeks ago. LFS told me it was a bicolor hammer. But looking at it more and more, it really doesn't look like other hammers I've seen.
Any idea what it is?

Oooo ok so the lfs was correct.
But the hammer in front of it looks so different! Good separation of tentacles, distinct hammer shapes... This one just expands as a blob. I've never seen it's tentacles waving around...

The same way one cat can be fluffy and another have short hair. Just a different expression of its genes.

100% a hammer.

I think I read an article somewhere about lighting effecting the shape of the tentacles as well.

If I remember right......High lighting causes the tips to look bulbous, and not have that classic ball peen hammer shape to them.

I have bought one like this a while ago. Once it got to proper lighting and decent water quality, it eventually took on the classic "hammer" look.

Looks like a hammer to me;)

Very pretty bicolor hammer! I been thinking about getting one of these recently.

Thanks! I saw a large colony and couldn't resist getting a frag of it.
