What corals could I keep with my dwarf Angels?

I'm pretty much done with adding fish and am at the point where I've decided my "FOWLR" needs some corals and color.

I like zoas and clove polyps and would like to get them if they would work.

Any input would be appreciated! As I have never had corals and although all is well so far, it is still my first saltwater aquarium.
I've read plenty about keeping corals, but it just isn't the same as suggestions and discussing things on here.

Yeah id stick with cheap soft coral, until you get the hang of it.

You don't mention the dwarf angels you have, but I've had both a flame angel, and currently have a coral beauty, and neither one has bothered any of my corals....a mixed reef with a little bit of everything.

That is what I was thinking! Heard they are hardier as well so that's a plus too!

I think this is what he is looking for. I think that zoas and palys are out as my CB picked at them, leathers probably fine as they don't taste good maybe.

But since you are new, i would get a leather, gsp, cheap zoas, and some clove polyps. After you learn how to keep your parameters in check, then id move to lps.

Don't by anything expensive!! I just spent my whole day catching one with a fish trap. He killed a frag of strawberry shortcake, and was picking on just about everything else. I don't know what happened, he's been good since I got him. The last couple days he's been terrible

I personally have had no luck with keeping dwarfs and coral together (although I have not tried them in a softie tank). Every dwarf I have had has had to be removed due to LPS picking.

LPS, gsp, and zoas are at risk. Nepthia, colt, sarcophytons, and mushrooms should be safe.

all dwarfs are a risk. they can go a long time without bothering any coral and then develop a taste for them. zoa's are one of the most picked on. I have a cb and it doesn't bother any of my softies or lps, but I know that some day this might change.

It looks like I'm just going to have to experiment with cheap ones first and see how mine do. Everyone in there stays well fed with 3 feedings a day as well as nori always available on a clip.

I'm on my first tank as well, about a year in. I personally have never had an issue with either my flame angel or coral beauty with any of my Zoas or LPS whatsoever. I have had a filefish mow down a small zoa colony when I first introduced him to help with some unwanted rock anemones. He must have been drunk...

I might only have one dwarf angel before long as I might have to remove one. My flame occasionally gives the CB a short chase, but I noticed a tiny nip out of one of the CBs fins. Not sure if it was there when I got it or not so I'm gonna keep a closer eye on them now and if I notice any more then I'm going to get rid of one of them.

LPS such as brains and acans will not do well. They just can't resist picking at them.

My 150 gal DT had 4 or 5 dwarf angels in it at one time: https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/humblefishs-150-gal-mixed-reef.189950/

Xenia, anthelia, mushrooms, GSP, leathers, monti caps seemed to be mostly safe. My euphyllia would get nipped on some, but their growth still outpaced the nipping. Feeding the angels at least 2x daily will help as well. Don't even try "small head" LPS like acans, candy cane, etc. Also, zoas are like fish candy to them.

I had a flame angel that ate some pulsing xenia the first day I put them both into the tank. I have decided against the worry of owning any type of angel in my reef tank.
