What corals have you had success with?

I can't get anything else to grow but Softies, everything else will do well for a few months then die on me, Softies take off. Got me whats up with that, so I just stick with what works.

Ironically enough I had given up on zoas to go with sticks and now my zoas are flourishing. The sticks are alive but not really thriving like I would like, despite keeping parameters in check/water changes, but it's like said earlier,out tanks are anything but natural. The one thing I have found that I can't keep at all are encrusting montis. I've tried about 3 times with no luck at all.

Currently I am getting killer growth on my untrusting montis, but i can't keep their color very well, other SPS is doing better with color.

I've had sucess with most SPS, LPS, and Softies. What I have not been able to keep is red/orange ricordias(have greens), and I finally got a high end coral (Incredible Hulk) and it got stung my my BOP and has been RTN since then. Can't figure out how to get it to stop.

For some reason I have not had luck with palys and green star polyps, but zoas, mushrooms, leathers, Frogspawn, acans, montipora, and chaestra are all thriving.

When I had my 75 going about 8 years or so ago I had awsome luck with Lps but as soon as I would try sps in that tank they would bleach out in a day now I have my 40 going and it is total opposite I can keep sps fine but my Lps look like crap.

Great topic! My experience has been kind of hit and miss. Some zoas do well others do not. Some scolys do well others do not. Some acros do well others do not. You get the picture.

It would be nice to see what everyones tank specs are with what does well in the tank.

Lets see 40g with sump, skimmer, ato, no sock, no other additives except Kalk cal430,450 alk8.5 mag about1300 haven't tested others in awhile.
