Going to stick with these lights. Besides LPS and softies look better to me than SPS corals. You could probably only grow some soft corals. I would recommend just getting something of higher quality like a couple ai primes
if those par numbers are correct, you might struggle with lps with that light... mushrooms and other softies might be fineGoing to stick with these lights. Besides LPS and softies look better to me than SPS corals.
Thanks for the chart correction.I can tell you don’t wanna spend much on these, but consider a black box led like viperspectra. Much more power than those
and here is the right par chart
In my opinion, I would say, save your money and get a better light. You will probably get away with some less light demanding corals, but those corals tend to be very drab and uninteresting. The lack of intensity, plus the lack of controllability are factors you will eventually be dissatisfied with.
In reading the review you posted in the 2nd picture, even that person said he added a 2nd unit for more spread and intensity. The blues and whites have no individual controls, they are either on or off. Excess white light is a generator for algae bloom.
For under $150, you could get this, which I personally own and use on my 32g biocube. It has all the adjustments and controls I wanted, (6 individually adjustable colors, sunrise and sunset settings, built in timer) with a pricetag that was reasonable.
With this light, you will get all the intensity, and adjustability you need to grow almost any coral.
I bought the same light for a frag tank startup! It sounds like you've been happy with this one!?
