What could this be that’s killed my frogspawn?

Frog spawn completely receeeded to nothing. Pulled it out and saw this?

Have you tested parameters recently? Notice any pests in the tank? Have any coral nipping fish?

Parameters all look pretty good. Phosphates were alittle higher than normal. Haven’t seen any fish doing any nipping at all.

That looks like some sort of sponge or possibly a tunicate, but I'm leaning more towards the sponge.

It shouldn't have been able to kill it.

Not sure, some sponges in the atlantic can sting stuff but I doubt that's what killed it. I think it's more common to have euphyllia die-off caused by bacterial infection or shock.
