Hi folks , just coming back into this hobby after being out of it for 25 years ..... Wow , all the goodies you can buy now is amazing along with the technoligy which goes with it ... I`ve taken 1.5 years to buy the equipment and build a 65 gal. tank with a 30 gal sump . I started the system in July 2019 and I`m generally pleased with how my system has progressed .I`m learning that slow and steady seems to work . I`ve had one challenge with I believe I have delt with , which I believe was flukes . I lost a few fish which I had grown attached to and hopefully will be more carefull regarding quarantining corals ,(which is where I believe I got the problem from ) . Today , after 6 weeks after treating my M/D tank with prozipro . I`m about to add a couple of cardinals and a couple of green chromis , to see how they fair . I still do have a watchman goby , blue throat fairy wrasse , purple firefire , and lots of inverts and a few corals which made it through the ordeal .
The reason I`m on here today is to post a pic and ask everyone if anyone has seen this creature before . I`m also learning that my LFS`s are in the business to sell there product and when I look closely I notice several types of hichhickers that I`d rather not have in my tank .
this one I`m posting a pic of must of got in because I wasn`t quarantining my corals (which I sure will in the future...).
I hope the pic quality is good enough for anyone to recognise this critter well enough . It`s in a hole in my live rock and sends out these long tendrals (as long as about 6 inches . they pull in at the end of the day . I`ve tried using an Aptasia probe to snuff out the critter , but it is still there .
I`m wondering if anyone has had this critter or knows if it will be a problem ........ Smiles
