Hello! I've recently had this growing in my tank and more are popping up everyday I was thinking an anemone of some sort but starting to think it isn't due to how many there are!

It doesn't look like that, it has a white base that looks like it is jagged all round the edge and I can't see a mouth at all? It looks a bit like a Christmas star with the main points being longer and little balls on the end and a long one in the centre that also has a ball?

Haha thanks! Its annoying me incase its something bad.. it looks nothing like that.. I was starting to think maybe its a coral of some sort

Not really, there's too many legs and not the right shape. I hope it isn't that

That’s all I got. Maybe you’ve discovered a never before seen genus of coral or nem and will go on to become rich and famous.

Hydroid jellyfish are the size of the head of a pin (1-2 mm) - so its hard to tell - Hydroids (to my experience) grow more closely - in colonies. To me it looks most like a ball anemone. Would be nice to know the size from the OP

A ball anemone is not really an 'anemone' - its a mushroom type coral. if it is a hydroid jellyfish - they are a nuisance but not a huge deal - if they are hydroids - (which to me does not look like) - they can be more problematic.

Its bigger than that maybe 2mm for that biggest one
