Just saw this thing growing at the side of my live rock. What the heck is it?

Type of sponge I think. Pineapple sponge maybe

+1 with both sponge and hydroids.
Sponge is ok but someone else is going to have to give me info on hydroids-I thought they were all bad but someone on here said that only a certain life stage is bad.

It would not concern me, the sponge is harmless. The attached unknown, may not even be hydroids, just a bizarre growth or reproduction process.
