What did I do wrong?:(

Have 30 gallon tank have 2 damsel for 2-3 months no issue, bought 2 clownfish and 1 spotted hawk fish last night everything was find. This morning hawkfish had his spot clownfish just swimming around and the damsels are in there normal spot come home from work dead hawk fish 1 dead clownfish and my 2 damsels are probably not gonna make tonight and the other clownfish is just chillen in the tank and seems fine test and salt look good

What are the water parameters? You may have had an ammonia spike from all of the new fish. Clownfish don't normally die without a good reason.

Checked ammonia is high but not sure how long fish been dead today did water change last week knowing I was getting fish this week and plan was water change tonight but doing a water change tonight still

Ammonia is probably the cause then, I would do a water change as soon as possible.

Sounds like the biological filter wasn't fully established and the 3 new additions sent it outta whack. How much rock is in the tank? Did you start with live rock, or dry rock?

Dry rock, it's now full of algae had about 10-15 pounds of rock, algae got real bad have to clean the glass every other day. I think may of just added to many fish all at once wife went to pet store they gave us a refund on the clownfish and hawkfish

This is a pattern with dry rock. Bacterial blooms are very common also. Get some turbo snails for the algae, and just add one fish at a time. Allow a week or to between additions.
It gets better.

Looks like gonna loose my tank lost damsel this morning clownfish isn't looking to Good. I'm leaving the light off today on the tank
