MINE IS DOING THE SAME THING- GOOD LUCK. I JUST DID A FEW WATER CHANGES HOPEFULLY IT HELPS.What do I do can I cut the dead part and leave the little remaining on what’s there or chop it off with dermal tool ???

Have you seen any brown jelly from it.
No brown jelly I had my defrag.. off I calibrated it was off 1.029/1.030 but has been adjusted since then it’s been 2 plus weeks stable also bought a frogspawn small 1 head and has a receding corner very small only been in tank for 38 hours I don’t know if I bought it like that. If flat worms wouldn’t my other head/torch been in danger by now thanks for the feed back R2R FAMILY

Damage is sometimes a catalyst for tissue recession. Damage from getting hit, pest like Crabs, bobitt worms, coral warfare or environmental like water parameters off, light intensity too great, fish (angel fish....etc) or invert damage like peppermint shrimp (notorious for attacking euphyllia)
Sick or weakened heads can recover or "hang on" or succumb to bacterial infections like BJD.

As soon as I came upstairs to look at the torch I just bought that frog Spohn and he was eating it I was able to catch one not the other Soon as you said peppermint shrimp I Went to go take it out and it ate my brand new frog Spohn

Also wanted to Ask you the torch that has very little strands left do I have to Amputate the empty part or leave it alone and it will grow back.... Also wanted to ask you when you told me if there’s brown stuff what is the brown stuff and what do you do if you do have the brown stuff thank you so much R2R family Stay safe
