What do I do with bi color angel

hi guys. I’ve posted previously regarding my bi color who has ick. Hes almost completely white. (Photos below) He’s been in copper for about 3 weeks now and still no improvement. Doesn’t eat much either. He tries to peck at the food but he misses the food. He is also flashing. I don’t know what to do. I’m using Mardel coppersafe and the instructions on back do not get the copper to therapeutic level so I referred to a post on here for how much to use. API test kit I’m using the test result doesn’t match the 1 or 2 so I’m guessing it’s in the middle. Any help appreciated. Thank you.

I don’t know what else would turn him white like that. Also he’s flashing. In my display tank he was slowly losing his color and was constantly staying next to my cleaner shrimp.

Are you dosing more than the amount instructed on the bottle?

How long ago did you purchase this bottle?

Yes using more than is recommended on bottle. There is a post on here that I’m referring to and I used the recommended dose. I purchased the bottle couple months ago. Could flukes cause this much color loss? Bc flukes is the only other disease I could think it could be. He hasn’t grown at all either. I’ve hAd him for about 8 months and he’s stayed the same size.

What test kit are you using and what is your Cu level?

Be careful with using more than instructed. We have very recently found that concetration is much higher than it used to be.

Alot of angels grow slowly. Not to mention copper suppresses appetite, and may also cause the fish to discolor a bit.

Copper at the levels you're talking about should be preventing ich from reinfecting the fish - and "turning completely white" isn't usually listed as a symptom of ich.

Looking at your photos, I can see what appears to be white, stringy poop trailing from the fish's vent. That's generally a sign of an internal parasite. You can use two meds from Seachem to help with that - Metroplex (Metronidazole) and "Focus", which will bind the Metro to food and help deliver it to the parasite in the fish's gut. Use one "Seachem measure" of Metro, one measure of Focus in about a tablespoon of food. You can store uneaten food for a day or two in the fridge, and once it's bound to food with Focus, Metro is pretty reef-safe, so you can use the mix to feed (and treat) all of your fish for internal parasites.
