My reef tank is just getting started. 55 gal with 2 green chromis a shrimp an emerald crab and hermit crabs. I go to sleep last night and I live in an apartment. My neighbors and me share the circuit on this wall. Well last night the circrcut breaker tripped while I was asleep. When I wake up for work to turn on the lights they don't turn on. I look at my power strips they are tripped I'm panicking. I turn on my lights my fish are dead and the only thing alive is my little feather duster and the crabs. The water temp was at like 65 and I keep the room around 70 when i go to sleep. I'm so mad I can't think straight and I don't even want to get into the saltwater hobby and stick with freshwater because they aren't as sensitive! And the day before this my blenny got sucked into my power head! :(

Sorry about your bad luck. If I were you I'd mix up a drink, relax, run power cords to another outlet that's on a different circuit and start over. Good luck

Awwww, that stinks!! I do wonder if you had an ammonia spike from the dead fish, though.

I can't trust the circuit my tank was on, either. Had to run an extension cord because sometimes the power on that wall will inexplicably cut out for a while.
