Nature mainly. I like to spend time in the mountains so you see some flowers and plants that you don't normally see. Plus I'm a geologist so I take a lot of pics of rocks.

I like shooting everything. I LOVE macro photography but with this stupid reef hobby I can't afford good glass anymore.

I'm going to pick up a DSLR for when the baby comes. I guess I'll have to post a thread getting some help from you guys that shoot all the time to find out what would work best for everyday shooting, plus some nicer stuff - within a budget.

The wife doesn't want to get a used one, due to possible breakage. But if someone has a nice D60 or something for a nice price I might be able to talk her into it.

I shoot mostly close up and macro shots of plants, insects and animals. Also my wife and our two Mainecoons.
