what do you all use for an ATO RESERVOIR?

For my 20 gallon, I use a 2.5-gallon aquarium from Petco. Made a lid out of acrylic from Lowes. The 2.5 gallons last about 7-10 days.

~15 gallon Rubbermaid storage container with a lid. Tunze Osmolator monitors and runs the ATO function. Note - sump / ATO is in basement under my display tank. Fill it from my RO/DI system once a week on weekends.

I too had limited space to house an ATO reservoir under my tank next to my sump. I did a lot of looking for something large enough to give me a couple of days between top offs and something to fit within the available space I had. In the end I made a 10 gallon reservoir, lasts me about 4 maybe 5 days.

There have been all kinds of good suggestions on what others use. No matter what you use(that will fit your space), as long as it holds water, doesn’t leak and does not leach anything into the water that may harm your tank inhabitants(fish or corals),
Use it.

I used a pet food container when I had a 40b set up, was all I had room for. got it at pet supplies plus. Was tall & skinny had a snap top lid I could pop open to fill it. On my larger set ups I just use a 29g glass tank.

10 gallon Trigger for both salt AWC and the fresh RODI ATO. Not perfectly sealed, but the lids do help prevent evaporation. I use an optical sensor and valve to top off the top off with RODI.

A 20long for my main 225 display, which lasts 5 days. I have it on a solenoid controlled top off connected to my main 55 g rodi storage, with safeguards n apex . It’s tucked away under the sump so refillingnit by hand would be a challenge. This automates it- and means I literally have never opened the lid or moved it in the 3 years it was in use before I moved house. It was pristine inside. Use a hydrofil ato system

a 10g for my 20long coral qt and another for my 50 lowboy frag. Uses a knock of autoaqua smart ato

my 10g temp tanks have a 4.75g square plastic storage container from Target that cost like $3.88. I have 2 more that I use to culture pods in, that I added plastic spigots to. Float switch and relay set ups, diy

I’ve also used 1 gallon cheese puff containers and square plastic 0.75 gallon rice containers for my smaller tanks with lids that only go through a gallon every 6-7 days

I divided a 29g aquarium in half with a baffle. Half is ATO and the other half is fuge. The ATO side is also connected by a hose that keeps a siphon to a 5gallon bucket in another room of my house. The bucket auto fills from my RODI so I always have ATO water and never have to manually fill the resevoir.

Measure the space you have and get the largest plastic bin that will fit.

I use a 100g poly water tank but previously I used a plastic tote, with the lid on, and a hole cut for the ATO tube.

In my random QT, basement, frag tanks I use big pet food containers. For my tanks upstairs I went a little nicer lol

60g cube - In the right cabinet I have a Trigger Systems 5g ATO reservoir. I'd like to mod it a bit and put a larger container in there eventually, but it works well and only needs to be refilled every few days.

The office nano(7.5g) - Swiped a random glass container from my wifes' collection of stuff in the basement lol. The clothespin /clip is to keep the anti-siphon thing from dropping below the waterline .
