What do you guys dip your new corals with before putting them into your tanks?

coral Rx its pretty much revive but it comes in a glass bottle haha. I dont think you can go wrong with coralRx of revie.

Interceptor and revive.

same here. Revive and milbemycin oxime. I just got some of the coral rx. but I havent used it yet. I've heard good things about it though.

Is Interceptor the same heartworm medication I give my dog?

If it is, what the procedure for making it a dip?

yes, it's the same medication. crush a pill up in some tank water and sit the coral in it. i've seen reports of people using 10 and 20 times the recommended dose with no ill effects to corals, so overdosing is not the main concern. you just don't want to put an sps colony in it before inspecting it for acro crabs and things you do want in the tank. most crustaceans are toast with an interceptor dip.

Revive and interceptor works best for me. Only thing that has not survived after a dip in Revive is the ORA Hawkin's Enchinata. Same thing happened to a few other local reefer. No idea why.

Interceptor and revive here also. I crush the 23 mg pill and use a spoon from a chemi-clean package used long ago to measure the dosage for the dip or bath procedure, you could also use a the blue spoon from a Salifert test kit. I just store the rest of the tablet in a small labeled container for later use.
