I'm at a loss at getting some of the food I feed to stop floating (mostly freeze dried foods). What have you guys done to make sure that before you feed that everything you pour in the tank sinks? Thanks in advance for your help!

soak and squeeze freeze dried,my ex w krill.

A) use food that resist floating: frozen, pellets B) soak it in a medicine cup of tank water C) surface agitation. Wave makers off but return which are pointed to create surface agitation stays on during feeding. D) inject/pour the food below the surface line.
Whatever gets past that.... Well sumps critters gotta eat too.

I feed the return pump in the sump. It’s definately not floating by the time in goes up the pipe, into the display.

Hmm. No issues with clogging pump or anything? What do you feed in the return?
Flake, in an auto feeder, twice a day. No clogging. There’s plenty of movement in the return section, as it’s relatively small.

My biggest issue is with freeze dried foods. I’ve soaked for like an hour before I feel and still floats. Ugh.
smoosh out air :)
